I like to capture contrast in everyday life, like the themes of beauty and decay, urban and rural, light and dark. Searching for beauty in the overlooked, I may find it in a rotting leaf, a broken window or a rusty wall. These structures and surfaces allude to the process of painting, printmaking and collage and I draw parallels between them as I engage in my creative work.

 

My Journey as an artist is constantly evolving, moving towards an intuitive expression of my inner thoughts. The images may be from split seconds of time where something has grabbed my attention and evoked emotional responses.
